Dr. Vikisha Fripp was born in Charleston,
South Carolina and moved to Decatur, Georgia at age 7. She
did a combined B.S./M.D. program at Fisk University and Meharry
Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. During her medical
school career she received many honors and was inducted into
the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed
her general surgery training at Howard University Hospital
and her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Training at Cornell
University/New York Presbyterian Hospital. While at Howard,
she graduated as 'Chief Resident of the Year', and in 2005
was named the Inamed Scholar at Cornell.
Before undertaking her solo practice, she practiced with a local Plastic Surgery group.
Her Plastic Surgery interests include body sculpting, cosmetic and reconstructive breast
surgery and cosmetic enhancement of the face and eyes. She has privileges with DeKalb Medical
Center at North Decatur Road, Piedmont Hospital, Emory Eastside Hospital and the operative suites at Gwinnett Center
for Outpatient Surgery.
She is a Diplomate with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, American College
of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, a member
of the Association of Women Surgeons, Atlanta Women's Medical
Alliance, National Medical Association, American Medical Association
and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Her personal interests include running,
traveling, world history and politics. She believes plastic
surgery affords the surgeon and the patient the opportunity
to sculpt individual creations. Dr. Fripp also believes in
both external and internal beauty and stresses the importance
of a healthy well-balanced diet and exercise regimen.
